As soon as we got into Montreal we checked into our Hotel, which we chose to be “The Delta Hotel” we chose this mostly because of the heated indoor pool. After settling in to our hotel we went to visit the Montreal Underground city. It was so awesome! Everything was underground, well obviously.. But there were double story shopping centers, and boutiques and many cafes. I was not surprised at the number of cafes because Montreal is supposed to be known for that. We did some shopping in the boutiques stopping at little cafes from time to time. I heard a lot of French while I was there but I was pleased to know that most of the people spoke a lot of English as well so it wasn’t as difficult to order food or pay for things. After hours of shopping Doug and my mom went to the Casino de Montreal while Jolease, Keegan and I went into the underground cinema to watch a movie. Later on that night we met up back at our hotel, which had an amazing view of downtown Montreal’s exciting nightlife. Oh also another thing, I noticed when we got into Montreal that all the people there were dressed classy, and very nice unlike Toronto were people all look different, a lot looking very sketchy. At the hotel, after we had gone swimming, I looked online to see if I could find out were the very hot 17 year old designer and myspace superstar Alex Evans lived, but unfortunately could not find out plus my mom would not let me go Alex Evans hunting L. Frustrated, I went to sleep.
Day 2:
After we woke up we went to another café downtown to pick some breakfast, got ready, and then we were off to visit family friends that lived in Montreal who we haven’t seen in a very long time. When we got there Lana and Mathew were very happy to see us, although their daughters Milla and Estelle did not recognize us, which is understandable since we had only seen Milla when we was very young and she couldn’t even speak English. The girls didn’t speak much English since they were still young, but they tried to hangout with us anyways, like piggy backs and jumping on us, little kid stuff (: Lana and Mathew offered to take us to go see Old Montreal which we greatly excepted. Old Montreal was simply beautiful with its amazing old buildings and little stores. We didn’t need a tour guide through it since they had been there before. Since we had spent most of the day yesterday shopping, today we went into museums in Old Montreal which happened to be quite interesting. After the museum before our good-byes, we took a ghost walk tour. That was so much fun, they do them in downtown St. Catharines around
halloween but here in this old town were we didn’t know our surroundings very well it was creepier. I thought I saw a real ghost :o. After we said our good-byes and went back to the hotel for the night.
